What is a boilerplate?

Boilerplate text is copy that can be used (and reused) for a variety of communications without significant changes. The City of Virginia Beach boilerplate is standardized copy that unifies outward-facing communications around our key messages and provides context for those unfamiliar with the City of Virginia Beach.

City of Virginia Beach Boilerplate

Virginia Beach is more than a coastal city at the meeting point of the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean; it is a community built on connection, creativity, and service. Guided by values of integrity, inclusion, teamwork, and innovation, the City of Virginia Beach delivers sustainable, high-quality municipal services that enhance the economic, educational, social, and physical well-being of our residents.

We believe in the power of collaboration and the democratic process, where every voice has the opportunity to shape a vibrant, resilient, and welcoming city. From our 38 miles of beaches and thriving agricultural lands to our dynamic neighborhoods and urban core, Virginia Beach continues to grow through the shared commitment of its people, the ones who live here, work here, and make our city extraordinary.
