Communications Department staff provide a number of services to support City initiatives and departments, including:

  • Developing communication strategies​ and create campaigns to achieve established objectives.
  • Overseeing joint information center during crises and severe weather events.
  • Promoting community awareness of and engagement in municipal government through meetings, events, surveys and other activities.
  • Organizing special events.
  • Producing videos and cablecasts live meetings.
  • Maintaining content on City's website and social media sites.
  • Managing media inquiries.
  • Writing speeches, articles, newsletters, editorials, news releases, reports and presentations.
  • Designing logos, brochures, infographics and other creative collateral​.
